In summer 2019, Ron Hatton was looking for a way to reduce parasitic energy losses in engines. After researching many scientific papers, he found the perfect solution. What Ron found is a near miracle substance, that had been hidden away from the general public. Known mostly only to research chemists and material scientists, it is the IDEAL solution to what Ron sought. It was formerly used by only big Fortune 100 companies for industrial uses. In other words-only the Big Boys really knew of and used it. Ron Hatton was about to change this. I know this, because Ron told me this story back then.
The thing Ron discovered, is a substance with amazing qualities. A dry chemical, fully compatible to other lubricants, oils, and automotive fluids. A material, whose flat crystalline shape itself creates unsurpassed lubrication. This stuff, a molecule of which, is only ONE atom thick (!) and is therefore a Nano material. It forms millions of flat plate-like structures that slide over each other, much like how brand new playing cards will easily slide over each other on a table top. It penetrates and remains into ALL surface micro crevices, creating a long lasting anti-friction layer.
It has the following list of qualities:
• Extreme load carrying ability
• Non-combustible
• Highest stability at high and low temps
• High shock absorption
• Stable under high pressure or vacuum
• Chemically non-reactive.
Ron also told me he found in the various scientific research papers, that this substance when tested in motor oils, cut parasitic friction by over 50% compared to before. It retained this friction elimination quality up to 1800 Farenheit degrees, where other lubricants like graphite and molydenum disulphide burn away. It carries heat away from friction, while minimizing contact between friction pairs. It increases wear resistance, and fortifies oil film strength.
It reacts to high loads, creating a mix with oil that further separates friction pairs of metal during operation. This is called a Tribochemical reaction. It’s like having a Smart Lubricant!
Ron told me, that the research into this material was supported by the US Deparment of Energy and leading scientific labs. 
And this wasn’t all- because of this combination of qualities and suitablities, it can be used in motor oil, gear oil, automatic and manual shift transmissions, power steering fluid, and gas and diesel fuel systems. He found a related chemical for use in cooling systems too.
To say that Ron was excited about all this is to understate things! After making the first run of test samples, Ron brought it to market, under the crazy name of Snake Oil. He told me this was a humorous twist – the phrase Snake Oil has been used in American culture for over a century in a negative sense. Ron was intentionally using this old phrase to get peoples’ attention!!
I got a real kick out of this name, I laughed out loud when he told me. I could instantly see the reverse humor in it! Unfortunately, some don’t have the broad-minded imagination to see it. But Ron gave it this wild name, and created the www.snakeoil.wtf website to market it. Ron tested Snake Oil in his own engines and vehicles, then in other folks cars and trucks. The physical results and peoples’ reactions to this new line of friction-proofing products, was and has been phenomenal. As Ron said then – “It simply works Every time”. Kind of like hitting the side of a barn with a shotgun, it just can’t miss.
In October 2019, Ron hired me to take over the formulation, production and distribution of the entire Snake Oil product line. It’s a bit like being in charge of a secret recipe, for that’s what it is! We now call the main active ingredient C50, just to give it a name. Thousands and thousands of concentrated doses of this wonder material have gone out into and around the World. It has proven itself in countless applications for vehicles, machines, engines and more. Today it is being tested for other uses in various ways. It has even saved a vacuum cleaner (with a different formulation!). Many customers have given testimony of how it has saved them from expensive repairs on their cars or trucks, and even saved some from the junkyard. Most common report, is how it makes their vehicle run so SMOOTH. It works quickly to kill parasitic friction and quiet noise and vibration. Power steering shudder disappears, transmissions shift better. Engine power increases with better throttle response. Many report improved fuel economy. Cold starts in the North in winter become easier. And on and on.
I’ve been asked why not use fancier packaging for the SnakeOil products? Yes, we could have neato colorful sexy individual containers or little boxes to put each syringe into. But this would increase material costs, as well as increase shipping costs to customers. Those sexy little boxes or other containers take up space, and besides, SnakeOil is about Results not a pretty box. I think you, the customer, want results and savings.
There will be new Snake Oil products coming in the future. Ron Hatton gave us and the world another discovery with Snake Oil. We can all be thankful for this, a truly wonderful Gift!
